March 2024 Developer’s Note

2024.03.28

Dear Commanders.

I'm Hyungsuk Yoo, the director of GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE.

In this spring season that symbolizes new beginnings, please allow me to greet you all through this developer’s note. I hope that this will be a meaningful season where your wishes come true. Please be careful of the seasonal flu and make sure to stay healthy.

Now, let me share the developer’s note for March.

Treasures

We have been conducting surveys to listen to your feedbacks. From the survey about Treasures, we observed a high level of anticipation but also many concerns. We believe that we should pay attention and listen to these concerns, so we intend to adjust the Treasures system to alleviate any burden it may impose on character growth.

Firstly, we plan to introduce the Spare Bodies of the characters with Treasures in the Mileage Shop as Silver Mileage products. We will also enable the purchasing of these Spare Bodies or characters through Gold Mileage products.

The sale mode and price will be consistent with that of the current Mileage products. These Mileage products can be purchased within a certain period after the acquisition of the Treasure(s). The period is estimated to be around 2 months.

Moreover, we will adjust the condition to upgrade Collectibles to Treasures from Limit Break 3 to Bond level 30.

Due to the above adjustments, the upgrade will be postponed from late April to late May. We ask for your kind understanding regarding this.

After the first Treasures upgrade, we will be launching 1 Treasure every 2 months. If you find the frequent updates exhausting, we might adjust the schedule and launch 3 Treasures every 6 months instead.

All your comments and suggestions are extremely helpful to us and serve as milestones in NIKKE’s journey. We sincerely thank you all for providing your valuable opinions through surveys, our customer service center, and our official social media platforms. In the future, we will continue to do our best to provide a better gaming environment for you all.

Improvements to Advise

Next, I will be talking about expected improvements to the Advise feature.

We plan to make it easier to increase your bond with the Nikkes by implementing a Quick Advise feature that will enhance its convenience. The Quick Advise feature will deduct one Advise attempt and allow you to obtain 100 bond points without going through the Advise story.

The simplified Advise feature for each character can be unlocked after 5 Advise sessions. Please note that the accuracy of your answers will not affect the count.

Appropriateness of Equipment Acquisition and Consumption

As mentioned in the developer note before, we’re discussing whether the acquisition and consumption levels of manufacturer equipment are appropriate. After closely observing your gaming experiences, we have concluded that the current level of equipment acquisition is still appropriate.

But based on the usage rate of Nikkes from each manufacturer, it seems that the level of equipment consumption is somehow imbalanced. Currently, some manufacturer equipment ends up being piled up in the Inventory or being consumed to enhance other equipment. While this is part of the original design intentions, we plan to enhance your gaming experiences by introducing a system to consume unused manufacturer equipment in a more meaningful way.

In the future planning process, we will identify an appropriate and controllable solution that will not make Commanders who have used equipment as enhancement materials feel like they’ve been deprived. We will share more details in the future developer notes.

Contents

Recently, we’ve received many suggestions through our community and customer service center regarding gameplay mechanics, such as the desire for contents that enable the flexible use of SD characters.

Gameplay is one of the topics that the developer team carefully discusses internally. As one typical reason for fatigue is the sudden increase in playtime, we believe it is important to be cautious about updating content too frequently.

As such, when developing new content, it’s only right that we provide a more satisfying experience. We will dedicate more effort to the development work to ensure that Simulation Room Overclock smoothly transitions into permanent gameplay. At the same time, we will also make every effort to continuously improve everyone’s gaming experience.

Internally, contents involving the flexible use of SD characters have been discussed several times under the title of “surface” contents. We plan to materialize our ideas so that they can progress to the development stage and undergo R&D.

The developer team and operations team have been continuously monitoring the community to observe your gaming experiences. We hope that you can keep providing us with feedback and suggestions in the future. Our teams will not cease their efforts and will continue to move forward to provide better content for everyone.

Once again, I’d like to thank you all for sending in your feedback and ideas and for loving the GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE.

Thank you.

GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE Team
