I am writing to express my concern about your recent decision to ban the export of VFC products to individual dealers for sales in Korea.
While I understand the importance of a strong distribution network, this policy unfortunately creates a significant challenge for Korean airsoft enthusiasts who desire your products.
Challenges Faced by Korean Customers:
There are two primary reasons why many Korean customers choose to purchase VFC products from overseas dealers:
Uncompetitive Pricing: The prices offered by the authorized exclusive dealer in Korea are significantly higher than those found at overseas retailers. This price disparity is even more concerning considering the economies of scale that should benefit bulk purchases by the authorized dealer.
For example, the VFC Knights KAC M110 SASS GBBR is available for around $530 USD internationally, whereas the authorized dealer in Korea sells the same product for approximately $918.32 USD (as of March 14, 2024, 04:16 UTC). Additionally, the Korean dealer removes the flash hider and sells it separately, further inflating the overall cost.
Limited After-Sales Service: Unfortunately, the current after-sales service offered by the authorized Korean dealer falls short of customer expectations. Customers have reported issues such as:
Selling "improved versions" of products with no actual improvements.
Lack of technical expertise and after-sales support.
Refusal to service products not purchased directly from the authorized dealer, even during the warranty period.
These service limitations have driven many Korean customers to seek VFC products through overseas channels, where after-sales support is typically more reliable.
In addition, I'd like to add a detail to "Limited After-Sales service" with following Cases.

One of the reasons many customers do not purchase products from Korean distributors is the lack of sufficient after-sales service. Here are some real examples:
Case 1: Lack of technical services
Stores that wholesale goods from distributors often direct customers to contact the distributor due to a lack of technical expertise. However, distributors refuse to service products not purchased directly.
Case 2: Warranty Issue
In Korea, a minimum warranty of 6 months is generally guaranteed. However, if a defect is discovered within a few hours of purchase and repair or exchange is requested, an additional service fee will be charged.
Case 3: Gift Service Restrictions
Products received as gifts and not purchased in person are often not eligible for warranties or paid services.
Case 4: Constraints on service capacity
Even if a product is purchased from a Korean dealer, service may be denied because the product structure is unknown.
These service problems occur because after-sales service in Korea often takes a backseat to products and prices. To solve this, it has become essential to find a distributor that can balance quality and price while meeting the high expectations among consumers.
When after-sales service problems arise, it is important to find a better alternative or actively assert your consumer rights.
