올해 추계예대제는 11월 12일이라 아직 안 열렸지만 참가 서클 리스트는 나와서 그걸 사용함
겨울 코미케는 12월 30일, 31일이라 반영 안 됨
1. 코미케 서클수
최전성기는 2009년~2013년이고, 넓게 보면 2008년~2016년까지인 것 같음
2020년 겨울 코미케와 2021년 여름 코미케는 코로나 때문에 열리지 못함
동방은 코로나로 인해 꽤 타격받은 듯함
p.s. 물론 동방만 그런 건 아님. C98 전체 서클수가 32278이었는데 C99에서 20016이 되고 C102까지 비슷한 규모가 되었음.
2. 예대제 서클수
예대제 참가 서클수가 2009년~2019년에 2800을 넘기고 있는데, 이건 그 때부터 코미케에 참가하는 동방 서클수 최대를 넘어서 있었다는 말임
물론 코미케는 1년에 2번이고, 예대제는 1년에 1번인 것을 고려해야 함
2020년엔 17회 예대제가 중지되고 크게 꺾였다가 최근 회복세임
3. 추계예대제 서클수
추계예대제는 가을예대제를 말함
2014년부터 시작
여기도 2020년에 꺾였다가 최근 회복하며 예전 수준이 되었음
4. 홍루몽 서클수
그나마 코로나 타격을 덜 받은 것 같고, 역시 최근 회복세임
5. 동방 온리전 서클수
모아서 보면 이런 식임
예대제 SP는 2010년, 2011년에만 열었음
예대제, 홍루몽이 가장 규모가 크기 때문에 이것만 조사했지만 이외에도 각종 동방 온리전들이 있음
그걸 다 조사하려면 죽을 수도 있어서 안 했음
6. 코미케+온리전 종합
전성기 시작인 2009년부터 예대제 참가 서클수는 이미 코미케 참가 동방 서클수를 뛰어넘고 있었고, 홍루몽과 추계예대제는 코미케에 준하는 규모를 보여주고 있음
즉, 동방 서클들은 보통 코미케가 아니라 동방 온리전에 참가하는 것을 선호한다는 뜻임
현재 참가 서클수 관점에서 규모는 확실히 줄어들었지만, 절대적인 양은 여전히 많음
그리고 예대제 참가자의 저연령화가 이루어지고 있다는데 거기에 어느 정도 발을 맞추려는 시도를 하고 있다는 것을 볼 때, 세대교체가 이루어지는 과도기를 지나 이들이 얼마나 차세대 동인 활동을 하게 될지가 앞으로의 관건으로 보임
마지막으로 코로나로 인한 타격을 극복해나가는 것도 중요해보임

7. 데이터 출처
기본적으로 한 칸에 두 서클이 들어가기 때문에 칸의 개수를 세고 거기에 2를 곱함
그리고 한 서클이 한 칸을 전부 차지하거나 주최측 사무소가 서클로 들어가 있는 경우를 세서 빼줬음

7.1. 코미케
동방 온리전은 거의 다 직접 데이터를 구할 수 있었는데 이건 정보에 접근하기가 쉽지 않아서 남의 데이터를 이용함
C70~C75 장르코드가 아닌 서클컷 기반으로 센 것
