Entered Service in 1993 to serve as export ammunition for the Type 85-II export tanks armed with the new Chinese 125mm Smoothbore Gun in the Early 1990’s. It was also used as primary ammunition by the PLA until the introduction of DTW-125 in 1999. The 125-I is also license produced in Pakistan.
